All About Us

At Harriet Plummer Aquatic School we specialize in teaching children between 3 to 10 years of age.  From non-swimming to competitive stroke coaching.

All lessons are private lessons that are taught one on one (Teacher and Student) in a non-parent participation program.  Lessons are in either 15 or 30 minute sessions, depending on the age and ability of the student, in a series of 4 private lessons.

Lessons can either be scheduled in a week session (Mon-Thur) or monthly (1 day per week on a regular day and time).

We are open year round, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 to 6:00.  During the fall and winter seasons, October through April, the pool is completely enclosed with our specially designed Air-O-Dome, keeping the inside air temperature 70-90 degrees.  Water temperature year round is kept at a very warm 93 degrees.

Lessons are conducted rain or shine.

INSTRUCTORS:
All instructors are adult teachers who are trained to teach the Harriet Plummer method, using praise, patience and persistence.  This provides each student with a positive learning experience.

Each instructor works as part of our tight knit teaching team.  Our instructors are carefully selected for their love of and dedication to children as well as their knowledge of swimming and their teaching abilities.

Our goal is to provide each student a learning environment which develops confidence, self esteem, and skill.

HARRIET PLUMMER BURNS, Owner:
Harriet grew up swimming competitively and has been a swim school owner for over 30 years.  She loves working with children and teaching them a skill that they will use and enjoy for a life time.

She has developed a method that has been proven by thousands of students to be fun, positive, engaging, and efficient.

Harriet is most happy at any time to answer your questions or concerns regarding your child or the swim school.
